How does your paper machine trim out?
It depends on the grade. For example:
The maximum trim on 26#, 31# is 186 inches.
The maximum trim on 33#, 35#HPL, 38# and 42# is 187 inches.
The maximum trim on 56#HPL is 188 inches.

Do you make colored paper?
Liberty Paper offers color and functional coating through our Dreamworks Coating Solutions division.

What are your hours?
Office hours are 8:00 a.m-5:00 p.m. (Central Time), Monday-Friday. The mill is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We have six truck docks for customer pick-up. Rail shipment is also available.

Do you take custom orders?
Yes. Liberty Paper was built to offer custom paper solutions. Because we're independently owned, we can provide you with more "customized" products and services than you may have come to expect from other paper manufacturers. Whether you need a variation on a stock product, or have a need for a special grade or a color provided by Dreamworks Coating Solutions, let us know. We'll work with you to develop your concept, and even take on some of the research and development. Our goal is to meet your needs.

How do I schedule a tour?
We offer plant tours to a wide variety of groups, including schools, organizations like the Boy and Girl Scouts, companies, civic groups, senior citizens' groups and customers. If you'd like to schedule a tour,

How can I get an internship?
Here at LPI, we offer plant internship programs through the
University of Minnesota. This is a terrific opportunity for students studying to become packaging professionals or papermakers. Our interns become part of the LPI team. Along the way, they learn about environmental issues, modern papermaking and the intricacies of running a successful paper mill.
