We love kids at Liberty!
Kids are the best! We love having you and your friends, classmates and club
members tour our plant. There are so many things you'll see at the plant and
here on our site. For example, you can find out how paper is made by clicking
on "From Pulp to Paper." If you stop by the plant for a real live tour,
you'll see the huge machines that make the paper. And, you'll get to wear safety goggles and ear plugs. Either way, both are pretty cool.
From Pulp to Paper
This is cool -- you'll find out how we make recycled paper.
RECEIVING
Recycling begins when old corrugated containers called OCC arrive at the
plant. (OCC is really a bunch of boxes and stuff like that.) The OCC comes in
big bundles - most weighing over 1,000 pounds! (That's nearly six
principals). All of the OCC is stored near the mill until its needed.
